What is cherry picker truck ? 

No need to erect scaffolding, or risk falling from a ladder: Truck mounted cherry picker  makes it possible to work at height safely and to move quickly from one point to the other. 

Truck mounted cherry picker : working at height and safety

Maintain a carpentry or roof, repair a gutter or chimney stub, install a parabola or prune trees … many work at height are possible thanks to the cherry picker truck. It allows access to difficult places and work in a fixed position high enough, safely.

Its implementation is easy and allows a change of workstation quickly. The handling of this type of gear is relatively simple. Like any other aerial work platform, truck mounted cherry picker requires extensive training from an authorized IPAF technician. You will also need a heavyweight license to drive this kind of vehicle.

Truck mounted cherry picker : a variable offset

At CPL, manufacturer of cherry pickers and tipper we offer several models of truck mounted platforms with a working height ranging from 15 to 25 m.

The working height corresponds to that of the floor of the cherry picker and 2m more – approximately. The latter is guided by an articulated and telescopic arm which facilitates the obstacle avoidance thanks to its horizontal offset (8 to 18m according to the models).

The set is mounted on a bucket, rotatable 360° or 420°, and resting on the rear platform of a truck. The size of the vehicle is equal to the van cherry picker : with an average width of 2 m (outriggers released), it reaches many places.

The height of the workstation can reach 25 m with a maximum load of 280 kg (user and tools included) and an offset of 18 m max. At this height, be careful, any movement is amplified and vibrates the bucket.

Wingspan and weight

The maximum working load of 280 kg that can support the platform is not valid in all positions, nor for all heights. Indeed, depending on the importance of the offset, the bucket does not accept more than 80 kg to avoid any imbalance of the machine. In case of overload, the safety sensors prevent the exit of the telescopic arm.
